Todd Bates is a seasoned paranormal investigator and EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) specialist whose passion for uncovering the voices of the unseen has become his life’s work.
You might find him exploring an abandoned home with walls yellowed by age and doors teetering on their hinges—perhaps a site of tragedy, fire, or unresolved mystery. In such places, Todd listens for the whispers of the departed, seeking out the subtle traces of the beyond.
Today, Todd shares his expertise with audiences around the world as the host of EVP Explorations, his live weekly radio show airing every Thursday night at 8 PM Central on the Sacred Spiral Network, YouTube, and Facebook. This latest endeavor is a natural evolution of his long-running and beloved show, Haunted Voices. As Haunted Voices gracefully concluded, Todd carried forward its legacy of education, discovery, and spirit communication—reimagined and recharged through EVP Explorations.
Broadcast and Digital Media Pioneer
Between 2021 and 2023, Todd owned and operated WLTK-DB Talk Radio, a digital station committed to paranormal talk programming. His innovative leadership brought live, original shows to an international community of paranormal enthusiasts.
Author and Storyteller
Todd is the author of The Haunted Voice, an intimate autobiography chronicling his journey into the paranormal, his personal battle with alcoholism, and the life-shaping experiences along the way. The book is available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Apple Books.
Television Appearances
Todd has lent his voice and expertise to television as the narrator of The Ghost Finders (Seasons 1 & 2), and has served as a consultant for Discovery Channel’s A Haunting—most notably the infamous “Sallie House” episode. His work has also appeared on WTHI-TV’s The Ashmore Experiment and NBC affiliate WTWO-TV.
Radio Experience
With over 23 years of radio experience, Todd’s broadcasting career began with Dr. Ed Craft on Magick Mind Radio (IBC Network), later co-hosting Alabama Para-Spiritual Radio with Dr. Jimmy Lowery. From there, he launched his own show on BBS Radio, where his thoughtful and curious approach to the paranormal gained loyal listeners. He has appeared on major platforms including The Man Cow Show, WTAY FM, WTYE AM, WZPL 99.5 FM, X-Zone Radio, Voice of America, and The Jeff Rense Show.
